Dutch Baby Names

Dutch is a West Germanic Language and the native language of the Netherlands, as well as parts of Belgium and Suriname. Dutch is closely related to German and English and supposedly bridges the gap between the two languages. Dutch vocabulary is highly similar to German, but incorporates more Romance language words than either German or English. The Dutch language shares many similar root syllables with English making it somewhat discernible to English speakers as the meanings are also alike. Choosing a Dutch name for your baby is a nice way to incorporate ethnicity while comparable to an English name in pronunciation and meaning.
